Short ElsieSHORT, Elsie Mabel  - September 20, 1919 – December 18, 2017.

Longtime North Toronto Resident, originally from Mount Forest, Ontario.

Peacefully, in her 99th year, dearly loved wife of Ted for 59 years, prior to his death in 2006.

Loving and proud mother of Donald (Heather Sampson) of Toronto, Dianne (Sandy Matthew) of Fife, Scotland and Terry (Denise) of Fonthill. Dear grandmother of Chris, Andrew (Claire), Laural and Taryn; Megan, Lorna, Jim and Jenny.

Elsie was the long-serving Manager of the North Toronto YWCA Branch and for over 70 years an active member of Eglinton United Church where she and Ted were married in 1947.

The family are indebted to Meighen Manor and very grateful for the care given to their mother by her many care givers. Particular gratitude to Beverly Samuels and mom's daily care team including Carmen Grant, Brenda Stephens and Kathleen Williams.

Visitation for family and friends will take place at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave W., on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 12 p.m., followed by a Service of Thanksgiving in the Chapel at 1 p.m.

If desired, donations may be made to Eglinton St George's United Church.
