CARROLL, Patricia Julia (nee Cummins)  - Entered into rest, Wednesday, December 21, 2017, after a brave battle with the effects of a debilitating stroke.

Born March 10, 1939 in Dublin, Ireland, where she grew up and met her cherished husband Fred (deceased).

Pat will be remembered as a devoted mother who demonstrated caring, compassion and humour and as a dearly beloved Nanna who treasured her grandchildren.

Pat was independent, tenacious and loving; she will be missed by family and friends at home and abroad for her unwavering kindness and friendship.

Loving mother of Audrey Carroll-Polzin (Sandy), Suzanne Duff (Kevin), Thomas (Stephanie) and Trish Herreria (Greg). Cherished Nanna of Liam, Aidan, Max, Ashleigh and Ethan caring sister of Muriel (Kelly).

Predeceased by her brothers Tommy, Mikey, Ronnie and sister Moira. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

The Carroll family wishes to express their sincere thanks to all the caring people at the Champlain Local Health Integration Network, Bayshore Healthcare and the Community Services of Ottawa for their tireless work, compassion and concern.

Very special thanks to Dr. Louise Coulombe and the staff at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice Kanata for their unparalleled care. Dr. Coulombe's compassion her honest open and caring manner provided dignity and comfort for Pat and the family in the last days.

Funeral Friday, January 12, 2018, 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church, 44 Rothesay Dr., Kanata, ON. Interment, in the spring.

In lieu of flowers in-memoriam donations to the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice appreciated.
