VELLA, Michael  - 1941 - 2017 It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of my dear father Mike Vella on December 23, 2017.

After a brief illness with Cancer the lord has taken him away too soon.

He had such a zest for life and will be someone who will always be remembered.

He leaves behind his daughter Michele (Mark Kelly) and granddaughters Brianna and Christina.

His brother Sam was his best friend and partner in crime whom he loved and cherished. His dear brother Tony (Lisa) who he loved and was there to support him throughout the years.

His nieces and nephews in Canada Peter, Angie, Dave and Jimmy were very dear to him. He also has several brothers, sisters and nieces and nephews that reside in Malta and Australia who will miss him dearly. I want to thank Amy for being there for him during his treatments and keeping him company during the difficult time. He truly was grateful.

A heartfelt thank you to the palliative care unit at the Princess Margaret Hospital for their tremendous care especially Mary Jane, Erin and Lorna.

Friends will be received at the Scott Funeral Home, Mississauga, on Thursday, December 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass will be held at St. Paul of Apostle Church on Friday, December 29th at 9:15 a.m. Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Wheels of Hope would be appreciated.
