INSELSBACHER, Ingrid Damar - August 29, 1943 - December 28, 2017
Passed away peacefully after a brief illness.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Winfried Gerdel.
She is dearly missed by her daughter, Karen (Brian) and Winfried's children, Heike (John) and Markus (Nancy).
She is survived by her devoted brother, Juergen (Maria) and nephews. "Oma" was happiest when with her grandchildren, and she will be fondly remembered by Stephanie, Marilyn, Brooklyn, Ben, Thomas, Rebecca, Sara and Emily.
Ingrid was outgoing and loved having fun with her family and wonderful friends.
She was hardworking and fiercely independent right until her final illness. The family thanks the staff at St. Michael's Hospital for the warmth and care she received there.
Friends may call the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 5-8 pm and Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 1-2 pm, followed by a service in the Chapel at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
