RIDLER, Donald Alan - We sadly announce the death of Donald Alan Ridler of Toronto, Ontario on Thursday, December 21, 2017.
Don was a loving husband to his wife Marion Ridler (nee Lawrence) who died on November 17, 2013.
There was no better father to which his children (Doug and his partner June, John and his wife Jelka and his daughter Laurie) will always be grateful.
His support and love was unconditional. Known as Pop pop to his seven grandchildren (Robert, Caitlin, Meghan, Connor, Katherine, Samantha and Melanie) who will always remember his love and remarkable sense of humour. Don was proud to have 2 great-grandchildren, Payten and Clark.
It was with much pride that Don would host or attend family dinners and events with all the generations together.
Don was a member of the Professional Engineers Association with a remarkable career on the Avro Arrow and many years at De Havilland contributing to the aircraft industry.
Don also had the honour of being a part of the National Research Council.
Friends and family of Don are invited to a Celebration of his life on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Amica City Centre, 350 Princess Royal Drive, Mississauga, Ontario.
