HOUGHTON, Elizabeth M. (Spracklin)  - 1938 - 2018  Beth passed away after a short illness on January 19, 2018 surrounded by Charles, her devoted husband of 56 years, much loved daughter Carolyn Houghton and granddaughter Aisling Egan.

Also survived by brothers Nick and Doug, sister Bernice and sisters-in-law Donna Houghton, Margaret Pearce and June Bayes.

Predeceased by brothers Lloyd, Harold and Robert and sisters-in-law Marydale Tapscott, Earla Shaw and Janet Leitch.

The family is profoundly thankful for the very kind care we received during Beth's final illness from each and every staff member we encountered at Scarborough General Hospital, St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto Paramedic and Ornge Services.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Toronto Public Library in celebration of Beth's love of reading and the value she placed on literacy and education.

Visitation and Reception on Thursday, January 25, 2018, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, Markham, Ontario.
