Wells GordonWELLS, Gordon (Bud) Dougall   - October 19, 1922 - January 28, 2018

Bud died at home with his family by his side.

Loving husband of Lilian.

Also survived by his son Russell Blair, niece Flora Evans, nephew Paul Rogers (Beth) and their sons Justin and Scott (Kristi), sister-in-law Donna Hinds (Andrew).

He was predeceased by his sister Flora. Bud left North Toronto Collegiate early to join the RCAF and served overseas at radar stations during WWII.

On his return he completed university and worked in business.

Later he studied education and taught history for 27 years at Alderwood Collegiate, Etobicoke. He was a warm, generous and loyal man with a rich network of friends, including many lasting from public and high school days.

He had a deep love of history, current events, reading and the English language. He enjoyed writing limericks, poems and doing cryptic crosswords. In retirement he became a skilled furniture maker and continued an active outdoor life, travelling, camping and cottaging.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 3:00 p.m. at St. Cuthbert's Church, 1399 Bayview Ave. If desired, a donation to WaterAid would be appreciated.
