MACINNES, Netta Ruth (nee PENNEY) - April 18, 1923 – February 3, 2018
Of Toronto, Ontario, formerly of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, Unionville, Ontario, Quebec and Newfoundland.
It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Netta Ruth MacInnes (nee Penney), who left us to be with her Lord Saviour, Jesus Christ in her 95th year.
Beloved wife of Gilbert (deceased) and loving mother of Catherine (Malcolm).
She began her teaching career in 1941 in a one room school house in the town of Buchans, Newfoundland.
After relocating to Quebec in 1949, she taught elementary school until 1980 when she and my father retired to Bobcaygeon and then to Unionville.
And so began a legacy of volunteerism to the service of community and GOD that continued almost to the very end.
Burial has taken place.
Rest in peace, dear Mother.
