SPOHN, Isabelle MacDonald (nee ROSS)  - Isabelle MacDonald Ross Spohn, 97, who was born in Toronto and spent much of her childhood there, died December 24, 2017, in Rochester, MN.

In addition to her four children in the U.S., she is survived by a sister Anne Kellar and a brother David Ross, both of Ontario.

She was predeceased by her husband Gustav J. Spohn.

Mrs. Spohn was born July 23, 1920, the second child of David Ross and Jessie Noble Huffman. She lived in many locations in North America as her husband was a member of the U.S. Air Force, while her father was an engineer who built dams in various locations in the U.S.

She graduated from Bloor Collegiate Institute in Toronto in 1940 as salutatorian. Her family, the church and children were focal points of her life. She participated enthusiastically in all aspects of church activity and often taught Sunday School.

Needy children worldwide, wounded veterans and worldwide spread of the Gospel were causes she supported throughout her life.

A memorial service will be held at Charter House, 211 2nd St. NW, Rochester, MN, 55901, on March 24th, 1:30 p.m., followed by a reception.
