Bannister CatherineBANNISTER, Catherine Anne (nee MacALPINE) -  Suddenly at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, Ontario on Sunday, April 15, 2018 leaving those that loved her deeply heartbroken and numb with sadness.

Catherine (Irene) was born on December 21, 1942.

Survived by her husband Harry of fifty-one years of marriage, daughter Heather and son Jamie, brother-in-law George-Denice, sister-in-law Evelyn-John and Joan.

Predeceased brothers-in-law Norman and Douglas. Her nieces and nephews Christine-Nelson, Michael-Courtney, Jonathon, Jeffery-Catherine and Suzanne. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she came to Canada at the age of twelve, met her husband at the age of fourteen and has been with him ever since.

She fought lung cancer, brain tumours and colon cancer for eight years and through her battle she always had a smile on her face.

Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Best Western, 930 Burnham St., Cobourg, ON K9A 2X9.
