WEST, Valerie Claire (nee DICK) - On Saturday, April 14, 2018, gently without pain or stress at Cedarhurst Home where she had been wonderfully cared for over the past thirteen months.
Val was the extraordinary mother and friend to Susan (Andrew), Penny (Jamie) and Michael (Lori) and loving Gamy to Charlotte (Jordaine).
Loved wife and treasured friend of Colin. Born in Cornwall, Ontario to Ethel May and Donald Dick, predeceased by sister Marion and brother Donald. Proud RN grad of the '57B class of the Royal Vic in Montreal, career mother, wife, and travelling companion.
Val was a founding member of the Shouldice bridge group and a longtime member at Scarboro Golf and Country Club, where she always seemed surprised at how well she played, making many good friends along the way.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service was held on Sunday, April 22nd.
A celebration of Vally's life will be held at a later date.
Val's family would appreciate donations to Cedarhurst Home for Dementia in her memory.
