OMalley GabeO’MALLEY, Patrick Gabriel 'Gabe' - Passed away peacefully in Owen Sound in June 17, 2018.

Predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) O’Malley (nee O’Callaghan).

Beloved father of Tom (Veronique), Gabrielle, Elizabeth (Jim), Deirdre (John) and Jim (Deb).

Proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren: Danielle (John) Taylor and Paige Bertrand, Natalie (Marcel) Amelia, Elyse and Anthony Meekins, Alex and Gordie Lawson, Olivia Lawson, Julien (Megan) and Jackson O’Malley, Chanel (Aaron) O’Malley, Samantha (Rob) Sparks, Vivien, Jack and Jamie Evershed, Madeline O’Malley-Sattler, and Harry and Cole O’Malley.

Survived by his sister Antoinette O’Connor in Ireland.

Gabe was born in Ireland and emigrated to Canada in 1957 with his wife Betty. They settled in Newmarket and were the proud owners of The Burger Bar, a landmark restaurant on Davis Drive. He and his wife Betty founded O’Malley’s Catering in Newmarket in the early 1970’s which continues to this day.

Friends may call at the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, Newmarket on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 for a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Funeral service in the chapel following visitation.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of York Region.
