Ivey DonaldIVEY, Donald Glenn  -  February 6, 1922 - June 25, 2018

Died peacefully at home at age 96.

Beloved husband of the late Marjorie.

Loving father of Donna (Mike), Sharon (Ross) and Dave (Jane). Adored grandfather of Megan, Brandon, Amy, Jess, Gillian and Rachel. Great-grandfather of Benjy and Sam.

Don enjoyed a long career at U of T, as a physics professor, Principal of New College and a Vice-President.

He wrote and appeared in many television series and movies about physics, including the award winning "Frames of Reference" and was the original host of "The Nature of Things".

An asteroid and library are named in his honour. Tennis was his passion and he was ranked Number 1 in Canada for both singles and doubles at age 75 and age 80.

We celebrated his 90th birthday on the tennis court after his daily game!

Don was a remarkable man of many talents whose wit and wisdom will be greatly missed by all.

Celebration of Life on Thursday, July 5 at 11 a.m. R.S. Kane Funeral Home.
