OHearn GerardO'HEARN, Gerard "Gerry" Frederick  - Passed away peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital on July 4, 2018 at the age of 68.

Gerry lived an honourable, successful and fulfilling life; loving husband to Bonnie for 43 years.

Son of Fred and Audrey O'Hearn, loyal brother to Vince (Laura), Nick, Steve (Hedy) and Fred (Ehretia).

Father, role model and super hero to Christie (Mike), Alex (Lauren), Dave (Danielle), Dan (Lisa) and Caitlyn (Mike). Wonderful and kind Bopa to Anastazja, Aidan, Cole, Juliette, Bennett, Ashton and Leo.

Gerry will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and great friends.

A lifelong sports fan, Gerry loved discussing the latest baseball, college basketball or hockey game. An avid reader, he spent his summers at his cottage relaxing with family on the shores of Georgian Bay. Successful in both his personal and professional life, Gerry was a senior executive at Hydro One, member of the board of directors at Brampton Safe City, president of a local riding association and a Knight of Columbus. Gerry was smart, caring, witty and a leader in the community. We will miss him profoundly, but we are comforted in knowing that he is in heaven with the Lord.

Visitation will be held at Scott Funeral Home, Brampton on Friday, July 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Timothy's Catholic Church (42 Dawson Road) in Orangeville on Saturday, July 7th at 11 a.m. with a private cremation to follow. An interment will be held at a later date.

If desired, in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

The family wishes to thank the many nurses and doctors who cared for Gerry over the past five months at Brampton Civic Hospital.
