HANLY, Robert James - Peacefully in Brampton on July 7, 2018 at the age of 92.
Loving husband of the late Helen Jean (nee Thompson).
Dear father of Patricia Ann Hanly Wood and the late Ronald Graham Hanly.
Cherished grandfather of Andrew and William (Cheri) and great-grandfather of Caitlyn and Emma. Beloved brother of Kenneth Ralph. Predeceased by his parents Rosetta Viola (nee Cook) and Harold Leslie.
Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Member of St. Bartholomew's United Church congregation, Pastoral Care Committee and Men's Coffee Group; Park Hill Exercise Group; formerly: Brampton Minor Baseball and Brampton Minor Hockey associations; employed at A.V. Roe Photographics Department; Atlas Helio; Entire Reproductions; served in Royal Hamilton Light Infantry (WWII).
Sincere thanks to the very many friends who sent cards, called, visited and provided rides during his illness; to the doctors and clinicians who attended him and to all his care providers including: Dolly, Agnes, Abigail, Carol, Preet, Sam, Suzzette and Zena.
Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel", 52 Main Street South, on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 2-4 and 6:30-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at St. Bartholomew's United Church, 22 Abbey Road, Brampton. Cremation to follow.
