JACKSON, Doris Evelyn (nee McKAY) - February 27, 1944 - July 28, 2018
After a short illness, Doris passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 surrounded by family at Butternut Manor in Uxbridge in her 75th year.
Beloved mother of Glenn and Christine (Shetler) and mother-in-law to Jamie.
Loving grandma to Devon and Alyssa. Sister to Gord (Joice), George and Christine (Eric Wolfe).
Predeceased by parents Gordon and Evelyn McKay. Born in East York (Toronto), Doris spent most of her life in Stouffville.
Having graduated from Stouffville District Secondary School in 1963 and later enjoying a 28-year career at the school in the library and front office, Doris made many cherished friends amongst the students and staff.
We thank the wonderful and caring staff at Butternut Manor for the great care over Doris' last few months.
Private interment service after cremation.
Join us for a Celebration of Doris' Life on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 2 - 5 p.m. at Spring Lakes Golf Club (4962 Stouffville Road, Stouffville, ON L4A 3S8).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
