McKAY, Gary William McKay - February 25, 1937 – December 28, 2022
Gary passed away peacefully after a long illness at Chartwell Wynfield Long Term Care.
Beloved husband for 61 years to Sharon (nee Dash). Father to Derrick (Jackie), Lori (Joe), Tracy (Lee) and Kim (predeceased 2009).
Loving grandfather to Jamie, Shane, Kevin, Nick, Lindsey, Tanya, Kendra, Taylor and Tara. Great grandfather to Gage, Kaiden, Jaxson, Ivy, Lennox, and Braelyn.
Gary was predeceased by his brothers, Leo (Jeri) and Doug (Isobel) and will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Gary was a dedicated General Motors employee for 40 years. He had many interests – family, friends, car racing, birdwatching, movies, music and of course food.
In Gary’s honour have a Coca-Cola and a cheeseburger!
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s memory may be made to a CHARITY of your choice.
Cremation has taken place and celebration of Gary’s life will take place later to be determined.
