ALLISON, Donald   -

1931 - 2023

Don passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord, early in the morning on Monday, November 27th, 2023, at the age of 92.

We are rejoicing that he is home with his Saviour and cherish the beautiful memories that we have of Don during his time with us.

Don was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Ella Allison and his siblings Norman (Norma), Margaret, Thelma (Ross), and Janet (John).

Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife Marlene (née Rose) of 72 years, his children, Don (Catherine), David (Christine), Christopher (Heather), Paul (Kim), and Jennifer (Jeff), as well as his eight grandchildren, Laura, Jessica (Alex), Suzanne, Paul (Samantha), Christopher (Monika), Rebekah (Wes), Ryan, and Graham.

Don is also survived by his brother Bob (Kathryn) and his sister Ethel (Don).

Dad will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved, valued, and placed tremendous importance on his family. His children have been the benefactors of the wonderful, loving home that dad and mom fostered.

His enduring love for his wife was a testament to his solid character. Dad put his family and faith in his Lord ahead of everything, even during his busy working life. He established traditions that have been passed along to his children and grandchildren.

He loved God and prominently wore a cross with the engraving that proclaimed “Everything is possible with God”.

Don was well-respected and appreciated by everyone with whom he crossed paths.

Guests will have the opportunity to freely share any memories at a Celebration of Life that will be held in the new year, with a date to be announced.

Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Safe Haven Community Church (82 Church St. S. Ajax, Ontario, L1S 6B3) or The Arms of Jesus Children’s Ministries (P.O. Box 10, Pickering, Ontario, L1V 2R2).

Both of these organizations were close to Don’s heart.
