Robertson IlaROBERTSON, Ila Robertson -  Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa on February 29, 2024, Ila Robertson (nee Martin), at the age of 92.

Predeceased by her husband Ronald, son Randy (Rosie), and grandson Reece.

Lovingly missed by her son David (Colleen), daughter Diane (Malcolm), and grandchildren Erin (Greg), Ryan (Laura), and Ronnie (Kaitlin).

She leaves behind seven great-grandchildren, Brendan, Joel, Tori, Bodhi, Leni, Lucas, and Braedan.

Ila was born in New Richmond, Quebec on July 22, 1931. She moved to Ontario and accepted a position at Whitby Psychiatric Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide.

She left that position to start her family. She later rejoined the workforce being employed by Sears at the Oshawa Centre until she retired.

She was a devoted member of the UCW Joy Unit at Kingsview United Church, where she made lifelong friends.

One of the activities that brought her great joy was volunteering in the gift shop at Hillsdale Long Term Care with her two friends, Jean Dart and Helen Rotterman.

They spent many Saturdays selling goods and serving up ice cream to the residents.

Ila’s greatest loves were her family and friends. She was an avid reader and loved to travel.

There will be a tribute and celebration of life for Ila on Saturday. March 16 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558)

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Care Durham.
