MORRIS, Steven Andrew - (June 20, 1955 – January 10, 2021) - Steven passed away peacefully at his home on January 10, 2021.
Predeceased by his loving parents Des and Marjorie, and brother Donald. Steven is survived by siblings Michael, Patrick, Katherine, Teresa and Rachel, and his daughter Maggie. He had a special spot for his many nieces and nephews.
Though Steven was born in Port Alice and lived his later years in Toronto, he always called Duncan home. He spoke fondly of his time with friends in Duncan and with family at the cabin on Pender Island.

FILION, Raymond Edgar - The world lost a wonderful, creative and caring person on January 10, 2021.
Raymond (Ray) passed away at his home in Toronto after a long battle with ALS aka Lou Gehrig's Disease.
His sister Marlene and his partner Glen were at his side.
Ray was in his 70th year. Ray was born in Cornwall, Ontario on February 2, 1951 the son of the late, Joseph (Peewee) Aldoma Filion, and the late Margaret Frances Filion (Anderson).
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Annette and bothers Jackie, Roger and Richard. In 1969 Ray relocated to Toronto.

REGO, Silverio De Frias Do - It is with such deep sadness to announce the passing of a cherished and respectable husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Silverio Rego on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at the age of 90.
Silverio was predeceased by his late beloved wife, Judite. They celebrated 65 years of marriage on December 31st, 2020.
Silverio was a loving and devoted father to Margarida (Jose Luis), predeceased by his infant child Jose, Joe, Silverio (Lina), Katarine (David), and Brian (Maria).

She is survived by her 3 sons and 2 grandchildren Katie (J.P.), Christine (Andre) and her great-grandchild Abigail.

CODE, Gretchen Lee (nee VOADEN) - Passed away peacefully at Valleyview Long-term Care Home, St. Thomas, Ontario on January 10, 2021, at the age of 83, following a stroke and a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
Gretchen was predeceased by her husband Jim.
She was the dearly loved mother of Michael and Marion Code, Laura and Harold Lee, and Jackie and Bill North.
She was a wonderful grandmother to Elise Code, Keagan and Levi Lee, and Daniel, Nick and Kyra North.
Gretchen was also a loving sister, sister-in-law and aunt to Jane and John Ricketts and sons Paul, Christopher and the late Marc Ricketts, and Lois Code and children Victor and Virginia Ceni.

HALLOWELL, Douglas Morley - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Doug at age 58 on January 10, 2021.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Merelyn; children, Ciara and Brad (Stefani); grandson, Noah; sister and brother, Lynne (Keith) and Ken (Lesley); nieces, Heather (Steve), Colleen (Mike), and Ashley; and all of his extended family and large network of friends. Doug was predeceased by his father, Morley, and his loving son, Kyle.
Doug, or “Dougie” as he was known to most, was a jack-of-all-trades. He could build anything, fix anything, and sell ice to a polar bear. Doug was a very warm and caring person – even on the darkest of days, he was a beacon of light.

BOTTEAS, Bill (Vasílios Vottéas) - Passed tranquilly in the early hours of January 10, 2021 at the age of 95.
Having suffered profound early loss, the Nazi occupation of his homeland, and the turmoil of world war and subsequent civil war in Greece, he ventured into the hopeful uncertainty of immigrant life in Canada in the early ’50s.
He quickly became a dynamic part of Toronto’s burgeoning post-war Greek community, where he acted in community theatre, organized and emceed cultural events, and later served on numerous committees and boards of vital cultural and philanthropic organizations.

He was the loved husband of the late Margaret for 55 years and dear father of Henk (Sharon), Craig (Janice) and Adrian (Dahlia), caring Opa to Justin, Thane, Breanna, Clifton, Derek, Jason, Erin and Kyra and special great-Opa to Aaralyn, Renee, Shintaro, Naomi and Baron.
Willy was brother to Miep Mundy (predeceased) and Hetty Behr and uncle to Wilna, Ronald, Marcel, Walter, Paul and Harpert (predeceased).
He was born in Arnhem, Holland on April 6, 1928 and immigrated to Canada in 1951.

With great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marjorie Ellen Molto (nee Howard). Marjorie died peacefully at her home in Toronto, Ontario on January 10, 2021. Our family was blessed to have her in our lives for 100 wonderful years.
Marjorie loved people and was always welcoming and happy to see her family and friends.
Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, Mathew and Charlotte Howard and was the loving wife of Delmar James Molto for 47 years. She is survived by her children, Wayne and Barbara (nee Hann) and Linda Molto, beloved grandmother to Deborah and Greg Molto and dear great grandmother to Jacob and Jonah Molto.

MACQUARRIE, Jack - During a very brief period of palliative care and shortly after celebrating his 95th birthday, Jack passed away on January 10, 2021 at Markham Stouffville Hospital.
He will be dearly missed by his son Drew and his loving spouse of 35 years, Joan Andrews.
His service in the Royal Canadian Navy, which began during WWII, was one of the most meaningful times in Jack’s life.
He had originally joined the Army, but when they refused to allow him to go overseas at age 18, he enlisted in the Navy, which wouldn’t hold him back.
