WEINER, Harvey  - We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved patriarch, Harvey Weiner, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in his 94th year, at his home, with his devoted wife, children and grandchildren by his side.

Harvey was an extraordinary person, an astute businessman, an adventurous traveller, an enviable golfer, a voracious reader, a true friend, and, above everything else, he embraced and treasured his family.

He constantly expressed his gratitude for the wonderful life he enjoyed, blessed with immense love from his cherished wife, Lindsay; and treasured children - daughters, Marci (Lloyd), and Cindy (the late Kevin); and son, Lawrence (Hadas). He was the adoring and adored grandfather of Dara (Lee), Matthew (Steph), Cale (Diana) and Marlee (Dan); and delighted in every moment spent with his precious great-grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Joni, Rhys and Dylan.

Harvey was greatly loved by his sisters-in-law, Carol Gold and Abbie Goldhar; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his dear parents, Morris and Anne Weiner; his loving wife, Dolores Adler Weiner; and his caring sister, Gloria Matthews.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to his compassionate physicians, Dr. David Greenberg, Dr. John Floras, Dr. David Goldstein, Dr. Cheryl Rosen and Dr. Nancy Keesal for their care, concern, warmth and expertise. Harvey was admired by so many, as he lived his long and rich life with a steady moral compass and all the core values he held close - integrity, respect, kindness, generosity, sincerity, courage, perseverance, positivity and lightheartedness.

He was an inspiration to everyone fortunate to have been in his orbit and a shining example of a life well lived; a true mensch who always knew that the best things in life are the people you love.

At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West, for service on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Interment, Holy Blossom Memorial Park. Donations may be made to Mt. Sinai Hospital Foundation, to the Harvey Weiner Memorial Fund in support of Dr. John Floras' Cardiology Research Program (416-586-8203 or 1-877-565- 8555, or https://bit.ly/4biCq9H).
