MATTE, Robert Douglas - (13 June, 1966 – 13 September, 2018) -
After a valiant two-year battle with cancer, Robert passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018.
He is survived by his partner of 20 years, Greg Kearney, beloved mother Patricia Matte, and countless friends and chosen family. He was predeceased by his father, Fred.
Rob was an exquisitely sensitive, thoughtful man who fought relentlessly to flourish despite a lifetime of serious illness. He was playful and curious. He will be missed beyond description by everyone whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be held at the Giffen-Mack funeral home, 2570 Danforth Ave., Toronto, on Thursday, September 20th from 12 - 1 p.m., to be followed with a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment at St. James' Cemetery.
Donations in memoriam may be made to the Michael Garron Hospital.
