MANSON, Helen Galt (nee MITCHELL, formerly HARGRAFT) - Born November 19, 1935 and died October 26, 2018.
Daughter of the late Helen Marion Mitchell (nee Galt) and Douglas Armstrong Mitchell and great-great-granddaughter of John Galt, the founder of Guelph, Galt and Goderich, Ontario.
Widow of the late Thomas Elliot Manson, born in Dundee, Scotland, who was the love of her life.
Helen was raised in Guelph and then settled in Toronto, where she graduated from University of Toronto in Physio and Occupational Therapy (DIP).
She worked for many years at the Workers' Compensation Board specializing in hands.
Tom and Helen spent an enjoyable retirement travelling, curling and golfing. She was a life member of the Guelph Historical Society.
Helen will be missed by all her friends at the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club and her longtime friends of 63 years, Joan Almond of Calgary and Nancy Spanton of Barrie.
At Helen's request, there will be no visitation or service.
