Midzan MariaMIDZAN, Maria  -  It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Midzan (born Sever), from Mississauga, Ontario, announces her peaceful passing. After a long illness, Maria died on Friday, the 12th of April, 2019 at the age of 86 in the Trillium Health Center in Mississauga.

Maria Sever, a daughter of Ivan and Pavica was born in Zagreb, Croatia on 29th of January, 1933.

Maria married late Fehim (Feri) Midzan (1921-2012) and with her husband made Canada their new home in 1964. Together, they established a successful accounting business in Toronto, ON, serving to the many families in the community. Their open heartedness and giving nature helped countless families and friends in the area. 

Maria will be dearly missed by her surviving family, her daughters Lily and Denisa Habibovic, with their husbands Nijaz (Nick) and Nedzad (Ned), respectively. Deeply saddened are also her grandchildren and great grandchildren Alma with husband Amir Draganovic (Leyla and Alisa), Aida with husband Matthew Cipolla (Ryan and Mya), Almir with wife Chayla Habibovic, Kenan with wife Morgan Habibovic (Oliver) and Adnan with wife Megan Habibovic.

Maria will be missed by her surviving brothers Ivica with wife Branka Sever of London ON, with their children and her brother Stanislav with wife Zdenka Sever of native Croatia and their children. 

Maria will be remembered by her warmhearted nature and her love to spend time with her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will treasure the memories and the gifts she skillfully made for them. Maria loved everyone she ever met, always strived to make everyone happy and was a Baka to all. 

Visitation for Maria Midzan will be held at Meadowvale Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres, 
7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, ON, on Sunday, 14th of April 2019, from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Funeral Service and Burial will be held at Meadowvale Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres, on Monday, 15th of April at 10:30am.
