DA TERRA, Manuel Caetano - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel at the age of 97 on Friday, June 7, 2019.
Born and raised in Pico, Azores, he made the long journey to Canada in 1957 where he resided in Toronto.
Working as a carpenter/cabinet maker and Luthier, Manuel devoted his later years to his passion for making stringed instruments.
Beloved husband of the late Fernanda da Terra (2016) he leaves his sons, Armenio Terra and Ildeberto (Cindy) Terra, his daughter, Filomena Silveira, grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) Allan and David Silveira, and great grandchildren, Oliver and Caden Allan.
He will be forever remembered by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home, Bathurst Chapel, Toronto on June 11th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The service will take place at Santa Cruz Portuguese Catholic Church, 140 Argyle Street, Toronto on June 12, 2019 at 09:00 AM.
