Brown AnneBROWN, Margaret 'Anne' - (November 18, 1936 - November 5, 2020)

It is with deeply saddened hearts the family announces the passing of Anne who slipped away quietly in the early hours of November 5th, 2020, in her 83rd year, during her short stay at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie.

Beloved wife to Tom (predeceased).

Loving mother to Barry and Raisa (Linda predeceased), Stephen (Carol), Jeff (Elsa), & Phil (Carol). Grandmother to Kyle, Leanna, Paige, Abbey, Daniel, David & Robert.

Sister to Marie (Jack predeceased), sister in law to Al (predeceased) (Coleen predeceased), Dave (Danielle). Aunt to many nieces and nephews in Canada and England.

Anne was born November 18, 1936 to George and Lillian Hunt in London England. She came to Canada for an extended stay when she was 19. The plan was to stay with a friend for 6 months to a year and she never left. She loved to sew, knit and paint. Many of her family members have her paintings displayed in their homes. She was described as “ a sweet lady”, “ a lovely person” and “ a joy to be with”. She will be missed deeply at her knitting and art clubs in Sandy Cove where she lived for the last 7 yrs.

Love you and miss you every day.

Visitation for Mrs. Brown will be held on Sunday, November 15th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Ward Funeral Home - "Weston Chapel" (2035 Weston Road). A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 16th at 1:00PM at Central United Church (1 King Street). If attending please RSVP to the funeral home via the links provided on the WARD funeral home site. 

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Simcoe Hospice, or Canadian Cancer Society, in Anne's memory.
