Lue WaiLUE, Wai Lin - Went home to be with Jesus on November 16, 2020 at age 97.

Wai Lin was born in Hong Kong in 1923. She was a survivor of the second world war as the Japanese invaded China.

She married Vincent Samuel Lue and had two sons (Lincoln and Richard) in China before immigrating to Jamaica in the late 1940’s.

In Jamaica she and Vincent started their retail business and then had 3 more children, Rosalie, David and Robert. Lincoln and Richard travelled to Jamaica from Hong Kong to be reunited with the family.

Wai Lin and Vincent ran a successful business in Cambridge, Jamaica. In 1962 Vincent died and Wai Lin continued to run the business with her children and help from Michael Lue, her brother in law and later her brother, Tsang Sik Kiu and his family.

In 1973 she immigrated to Toronto, Canada where she worked in the garment industry and other retail business and then babysitting many of her grandchildren.

Wai Lin was predeceased by her husband Vincent and her son Lincoln.

Wai Lin was a devoted and loving mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by: Mirin (Lincoln’s wife) Lue, grandchildren Lawrence and Jasmin and their children Logan and Josslyn; grandchildren Melissa (Robert) Uang, and their children Avery and Eleanor; grandchildren Colleen (Brian) Chiu, and their children Lucas and Silas.

Richard (Evelyn), grandchildren Timothy, Brent and Deanna.

Rosalie (Tony) Chuck, grandchildren Nickie (Doug) Bethune and their children Tristan, Maya and Xavier; grandchildren Shawn (Laura) and their children Brayden, Reya and Karyse.

David (Patricia), grandchildren Sarah-Anne (Grant) Procunier and their children Lucas and Alexis; grandchildren Sabrina and Gregory.

Robert (Annie), grandchildren Brandon (Karen) and their children Carter and Archer; and grandson Jordan Lue.

A Private Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on November 19th, 2020 at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 3898 Highway 7 East, Markham followed by Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at the same location. Internment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to Unionville Home Society – Union Villa Long Term Care 4300 Highway 7 East, Unionville, ON L3R 1L8 Or Markham Stouffville Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, 381 Church Street, Markham ON L3P 7P3.
