Gerson CarolGERSON, Carol - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Gerson (Silverman) on Monday, November 16, 2020.

Carol will now be with Dan, her husband of 52 years, and leaves behind her children, Howard (Darlene Hubley) and Andrea (Howard Friedman), and her grandchildren, Elyse, Jackie, Julia and Josh.

She will also be missed by her sisters, Linda Silverman (Richard Kapelson), and Susan Courey (Norman).

Carol was born in Montreal and grew up in Snowdon on Mira Road in a beautiful home built by her parents Jack and Ethel. She married Dan in 1963, had their two children in quick succession, and raised their family in Cote-Saint-Luc where they created a warm Jewish home together.

Carol was a strong role model, as a capable full-time businesswoman and devoted mother.

With several years of experience under her belt and a passion to excel, she and Dan started their own men's wear tradeshow, `Mode Homme', in their golden years. They operated the show for seven years and curated it into the largest show of its kind in Canada.

As accomplished as Carol was, however, family always came front and centre. She was determined to remain close to her children and in 1999, after the birth of her first grandchild, told Dan that they were moving their life and business to Toronto.

Carol was a warm, vivacious, generous, and open- hearted woman who loved people. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.

A special thanks to Jackie Thomas, her caregiver, and the wonderful staff at Baycrest Apotex 5 South.

Memorial donations may be made to I Challenge Diabetes charity, www.ichallengediabetes.org or to The Baycrest Foundation, www.baycrest.org/donations.

A family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
