Scala SamSCALA, Salvatore 'Sam' - Died peacefully on December 19, 2020 at Markham Stouffville Hospital in Markham, Ontario at the age of 71.

He was born on February 8, 1949 in Rosolini, Sicily.

Sam is survived by his loving wife Paula and his children Frank (Vera), Cory, and Sal (Carol).

He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Nicolas, Victoria, Isabella, Matthew, and Abigail.

Sam is preceded by siblings Francesca, Carmela, and Giuseppe.

Sam was a man of few words but great sacrifice and strength, till the very end. He loved quietly but fiercely, always putting others first. He was, without a doubt, the hardest working man in the room. He could get more done with the look on his face than most others could with the words out of their mouths.

He came to this country with nothing to his name, and left not only a legacy in business, but an entire life to be admired. Through his loyalty, dedication and selflessness, he has created the model of a man for his sons to aspire to. We will all continue to live our lives in a way that honours what you created for us.

We love you for eternity, Dad. Rest In Peace.

Arrangements with Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham.

Donations in memory of Sam may be made to Sick Kids Hospital (https://secure.sickkidsfoundation.com/donate?_ga=2.117573889.924031911.1608486864-1526347586.1608486864) or Lung Cancer Canada (https://www.lungcancercanada.ca/Donate-Now.aspx).
