Limerick ErnestLIMERICK, Ernest Hilbertis - Passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020.

He was born on January 29, 1933 to Eileen Elita Limerick and Ernest Albert Limerick. He grew up in Queenstown, suburb in Georgetown, British Guyana and loved spending his childhood summer vacations with family in Golden Grove, Nabaclis.

His first job was as a Tally Clerk at Bookers Department Store.

Showing early signs of generosity, when Ernest began working, he would give his entire paycheque to his mother and asked her to take what she needed first and give back to him the funds that were left.

This generous nature continued to be shown to family and friends throughout his life.

In 1962, showing courage and an adventurous spirit, Ernest left Guyana to attend Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama. He was training to be a Physio Therapist at a time when racial unrest was raging in America. He left Alabama and moved to Canada where he married Waveney Green, who he met when both were living back in Guyana.

In 1964, Ernest got a job as an Orderly at Toronto General Hospital and remained there until his retirement. By that time, he was a Supervisor over the Orderlies on the Operating floor. He enjoyed retirement.

We thank the Lord for the many lives touched by Ernest Hilbertis Limerick. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Due to the pandemic and the current lockdown, both the funeral service and interment are restricted to 10 people only. Visitation will take place at Word of Faith International Christian Centre, 65 Sunrise Ave, North York on December 31st from 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM followed by the service and interment.
