Thomas WayneTHOMAS, Wayne Eric - (1963 - 2021) - Following a 15 month battle with cancer, Wayne Eric Thomas passed away peacefully in the early morning of January 19th, 2021, with the love of his family surrounding him.

Wayne was born in Scarborough, Ontario in 1963 to Eric and Renee. He grew up in a loving home with his brother, Ray and shared many family memories with his Uncle Roy, Aunty Chris, and cousins Debbie, Kim, and Carolyn.

In 1989 he met the love of his life and best friend, Andrea. They would marry in 1992 and Wayne would become a loving Stepdad to Matt, Michelle, and Stephanie. Later that year, their family would be completed with the arrival of their son, Eric.

Wayne was a devoted husband and father. He had many passions including travelling, playing cards, golf, birdwatching, drinking a good scotch, smoking a cigar, and watching the sunset.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 29 years, Andrea; children, Matt, Michelle (Sean), Stephanie (Damian), Eric; grandchildren, Luke, Evan, Sam, Bella, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Wayne was survived by his mother, Renee, and brother, Ray (Julie); niece, Katie, and nephew, Chris.

Arrangements entrusted with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Scarborough chapel. A service will take place via live stream from the funeral home's website on Saturday, February 6th at 1:00 PM EST. Click on Wayne's memorial page, and then see the instructions below "Scheduled Services" to join.

Wayne had arranged the service himself and although we cannot all be in the same location, below is what Wayne wanted and how we can all come together to celebrate him.

A celebration of life will commence once larger gatherings can take place.

Attire: Wayne has requested us all to wear a sports jersey to his service. Absolutely no ties allowed! Have a drink nearby as we'll be making a toast in honour of Wayne. His favourite was the Glenlivet 18 year Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
