Linday EdwardLINDSAY, Edward Graham  -  Passed away peacefully at the age of 99 from heart failure at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge, Ontario on January 15, 2021.

Ted was born on September 4, 1921 in Toronto, Ontario, the son of Fred and Mildred Lindsay and brother of Bunny. I

n his young adulthood Ted moved to Alberta and served as an officer of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

With World War II raging Ted left the RCMP and was trained and commissioned as an RCAF pilot.

After the war Ted met the love of his life, Phyllis Owens.

They married in 1947 and Ted was a devoted and loving husband to Phyllis for over 73 years.

Ted and Phyllis were longtime residents of Oakville, Ontario where Ted was a process engineer at the BA/Gulf/Petro Canada Oil Refinery in Clarkson, Ontario.

Ted was a loving and supportive father to Linda and son-in-law Eric.

Ted was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather who loved his granddaughter Ashley, husband Joe and great-grandson Owen Edward Henderson unconditionally and will always hold a very special place in their hearts.

One of the greatest joys in Ted's life was spending time at the cottage he built with the help of Eric, Linda and Phyllis which continues to be enjoyed by his family and their friends 50 years later.

Ted will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

A special thank you to Dr. Mittal and everyone at Castle Peak Retirement Residence in Bracebridge, Ontario who provided care and compassion through his final days.

Cremation has taken place, and a service in Celebration of Ted's life will be held at a later date.

For those who wish and in memory of Ted, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
