Bradley MyrtleBRADLEY, Myrtle Blanche - Myrtle Blanche Bradley passed away peacefully in her sleep at 5:42am on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the age of 91 years.

Myrtle is survived by her sisters Luette Brissett, Tula Glover and Norma Robinson, her two children (Carol Burton and Sharon Simpson), daughter-in-law Mardi Burton, four grandchildren (Ikechi Scott, Ekechi Scott, Dineen Burton, Jared Burton) and two great-grandchildren (Neveah Sifuni and Mikaela Burton).

Myrtle is fondly remembered by all of her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family as well as close friends.

Myrtle was born in Kingston, Jamaica and was the second of six children born to the union of Estelle Mable Henry and Ivanhoe Bradley. She would often tell any Jamaican who asked that she was born "under the clock." Myrtle migrated to Canada alone in April, 1966. Her two children joined her in later years.

Myrtle was educated at Calabar Elementary School and furthered her studies at Bodmin College. She had many friends and loved to do embroidery. She then went into the nursing field and was last employed for many years at St. Michael's Hospital, from where she retired.

Myrtle was always a strong, independent woman who loved music - listening, singing and dancing. On her final day, Myrtle could be heard singing these hymns:. "Amazing Grace," "Great is Thy Faithfulness" and "Rock of Ages." She also loved doing word search puzzles, playing card games, bingo, listening to the 6 o'clock news and occasionally going to musical events. As a matter of fact, she attended one of Bob Marley's concerts.

Myrtle was a devout Catholic who always carried a rosary.

She had various health issues during the last few years of her life. May she finally rest in peace. She will be greatly missed and we will forever cherish the memories we had with her.

Viewing will take place at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, Scarborough chapel, and will be by invitation only at 10:30am on Saturday, January 30th.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a private family Catholic service hosted by the funeal home also on Saturday, January 30th at 11:30am. The funeral service will be officiated by a priest. To view the service by webcast, please visit the funeral home's website, click on Ms. Bradley's memorial page, and look for the link under "Scheduled Services."

Myrtle will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Gardens following the funeral service. This also will be on the webcast.
