WRIGHT, Irene - January 9, 1921 - January 25, 2021
Irene Wright passed peacefully, at age 100, at the Roberta Long Term Care Facility.
She will be dearly missed by her family: Carole, Kate and Gabe, Dave and Ivana, Sarah and Mike, Joshua and Brennan.
Irene was a remarkable woman.
She drove everyone crazy with her endless energy and we all loved her. As Mom, Nana and More Nana, Irene will be remembered most for the life lessons she taught her family: focus on education, you never stop learning; make sure you have your own money so you are beholden to none; don't let anyone tell you what you can and can't do, but be polite about it; always put your best foot forward and persevere; and the best gift you can give anyone is your time, your smile, your encouragement and your love.
The family would like to sincerely thank Roberta Long Term Care Facility for taking such good care of Irene while she was there.
Special thanks to Julie and Joan at Roberta Place who treated Irene as their own.
In accordance with her wishes, Irene has been cremated.
A small family service will be held for her interment in the spring. Donations in her name can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
