Evans BruceEVANS, Arthur “Bruce” - 76 of Toronto Ontario passed away peacefully on January 25, 2021 at home after a lengthy illness.

He was born to the late John Oliver Evans and Jean (Devlin) Evans on December 26, 1944 in Toronto and lived in Mimico.

He is survived by his caring companion Helen Hartigan.

He leaves behind his sons, Chris (Patty) Evans of Mill Village Nova Scotia and Terry Evans (Robyn) of Toronto.

His beloved grandchildren, William, Brendan and Kayla.

He is predeceased by brother Ray, sisters Anne (Gates), Jane (Pleasance) and Rose (Sinclair).

Bruce worked for the Goodyear Tire Company for almost 40 years. He enjoyed watching his sports especially the Toronto Blue Jays and the Maple Leafs.He also loved playing baseball, competing against much younger players in the Industrial Fastball Leagues on the Lakeshore. Bruce was a member of the Moose Lodge and The Royal Canadian Legion.

There will be no service at this time due to Covid and travel restrictions. A gathering to celebrate Bruce’s life will be held at a later date.

Donations may be made in Bruce’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
