COUGHLAN, William (Bill) Joseph Patrick  -  It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 91 years of age.

He will be missed immensely and forever by his family and many friends.

Survived by his wife of 65 years, Laurena (Lori), children Lynn, Michael (Donna) and Shane (Mamak), grandchildren Maxx, Rory, Gord, Lauren (Joel), Rachel and great-granddaughter Edith.

Bill died peacefully in his Toronto home, in his bed, during an afternoon nap. We are very grateful he was with family and in his home during his final days.

There must be a great celebration going on in the hereafter... Dad was always the life of the party and we're sure he is regaling everyone with his stories, jokes and laughter.

Bill was born on March 6, 1929 in Newcastle, New Brunswick.

He joined the RCMP in 1950 and retired from "O" Division as Staff Sergeant Major in 1975, moving on to work with the Ontario Jockey Club as Chief of Security in 1975, finally retiring in 1995.

Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful care provided over the years by his doctors and personal service workers.

There will be no memorial service at his request.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date when it is safe to do so.
