Venier AlmaVENIER, Alma Marie   -  March 12, 1925 - March 5, 2021

We are saddened to announce the passing of Alma Venier (nee Godin).

Born March 12, 1925, she died peacefully on March 5, 2021.

Predeceased by her husband Alan Venier and her two sisters Eula Kinney and Lorraine Prevost, and brother Edmond Godin.

She leaves behind her sisters Marie Mallet, Jeannine Cormier, Carmel Chaisson, and Fern Savoie, as well as her brothers Roger and Real Godin.

A beloved mother and grandmother she is survived by her daughters Karen Chiarelli and husband Carmine; and Lynn Ardizzi and husband Marco along with her grandchildren Caitlyn Chiarelli and husband Noel Pagotto, and Matthew Chiarelli, as well as Rylan, Michael and Luke Ardizzi.

Alma lived life to the fullest and enjoyed travelling and spending winters in Florida with her husband. Very active with her sisters their most enjoyable outings were to the local casinos, dances at the community centre or large dinner gatherings with lots of laughter.

She enjoyed an active career and was proud to be the voice of the switchboard operator at York Finch hospital for over 25 years.

Alma was happiest when surrounded by her family whether it was enjoying meals together or playing a round of Euchre.

An avid bridge player Alma was often at the top of the leader board and a sought after partner. The family would like to thank the caring dedicated team at Maple Health Centre, where Alma spent her final years, for their kindness and seeing the special "light" that was Alma.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family funeral service will be held followed by an inurnment.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Brain Injury Community Re-entry Niagara at www. bicr.org Alma will be missed by all who knew her as she truly was an incredibly special and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all.
