POPALIS, Peter - April 2, 1935 – March 17, 2021
It is with deep, profound sadness that our family announce the passing of our beloved father and Dedo, Peter Popalis, at Markham Stouffville Hospital, in his 86th year.
Loving husband to Christina (Kotsopoulos) for 60 years.
Cherished father to Athina (Paul), Dorothy (Dan), Peter Jr. (Florence).
Treasured Dedo to Madeline, Thomas, Brandon, Isabella and Petey. He emigrated from Banitsa, Macedonia (Greece) to Toronto, Canada in 1960, in pursuit of a better life.
He was a skilled Shoemaker in the village and in 1965, he and his brother, George, owned and operated Hudson Shoe Repair for over 40 years in Toronto.
A generous, loving husband, father and family man, who will be deeply missed and remembered forever in our hearts.
Due to COVID restrictions, Visitation and Funeral Services are private at this time. Attendance is by invitation only.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of York Region or Spinal Cord Injury Ontario.
