Roche SheilaROCHE, Sheila  - Sheila Roche, beloved wife of Alex Roche, passed Thursday, March 18, 2021 in her 77th year.

The youngest of 4 children, Sheila was born June 1944 in England.

She is survived by her devoted husband Alex, sons Geoffrey, Ashley, Austin, grandchildren Natalie, Jacqueline, Michelle, Ava, Mako, Henry, and sister Jillian Evans.

She was predeceased by her parents Dorothy and Maxwell Fryd, and brothers John and Richard.

Sheila first came to Canada in 1965 for what was to be the beginning of a world tour.

She met Alex shortly thereafter and they became inseparable for the next 55 years.

Sheila had a vivacious personality and loved life.

She spent her formative years in Surrey, England, and some teenage years with her parents who were posted by the British Government in the Middle East, where she attended schools in Beirut and Baghdad.

She wrote extensively, determined to keep close contact with friends and relatives from afar.

Many summers were spent with Alex and children visiting her parents and extended family in the UK.

She worked for Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. Later years were spent running a bed and breakfast and nourishing her love of gardening with Alex.

She had a gifted ear for piano. There will be a private service on Tuesday, March 23rd, with plans for a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Donations in Sheila's memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, and Milton District Hospital.
