MENEZES, Anna Maria - Maria Menezes, a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and teacher, transitioned peacefully on March 22, 2021 at the young age of 73.
Maria was from Goa, India and grew up in Mumbai, where she worked as a teacher and later married.
She moved to join her husband in Muscat, Oman where she lived for 24 years, raised three daughters, and supported them after her husband’s death.
She was the kindest, gentlest and most selfless person we ever knew and was loved by many. She was always there for others in their time of need. A teacher by trade, she taught the piano, various subjects to high school students, and English to adults. She later returned to India for a few years before immigrating to Toronto to be with her three daughters in her final years.
Maria was a social butterfly, she loved getting together with friends and family, cooking, dark chocolate and watching action and Christmas movies. We will cherish all our wonderful memories together and she will live in our hearts forever.
