BANTAS, Demetrios - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Demetrios Bantas on Saturday March 27, 2021 at the age of 92.
Born on January 30, 1929 in Greece, on his beloved island of Lesbos, in the village of Molyvos to Panagiotti Bantas and Evridike Sarantinelis Bantas. He was the youngest of 3 children and was predeceased by his parents, as well as by his brother Stratos and sister Amfiklia.
Demetrios’ memory will live on in the hearts of his family, his wife of 62 years Fotini, his children John and Eva (Ilias), his grandchildren Maria (Jason) and Joanna (Christos) and his great-grandchildren Theodore, Adrienos and Elias.
Demetrios was a man with the purest of hearts. All looked up to him as an example of gentleness, patience, honesty and, above all, humility. We were so fortunate to have had him for as long as we did yet, selfishly, we wish that we could have kept him with us for always. We love you. We miss you. Rest peacefully now.
All funeral attendees must be invited by the immediate family only, due to Covid restrictions. Flowers may be delivered to the Scott Funeral Home "Mississauga Chapel" (420 Dundas Street East, Mississauga) Sunday, April 4th, Before 6pm.
