PORATTO, William Frank - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Wil on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Sunnybrook Hospital surrounded by those who loved him.
Wil is survived by his loving wife Claire Marie (Nee O’Hagan) of more than 40 years and by his children LuAnn (John), Jim and Peter (Sandra).
Doting Grandpa to Bradley (Xinyan), Emily(t), Justin, Matthew and Jeremy.
Proud Great-Grandpa to Abigail “Abby” Zishu.
He will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews, some of which are also Godchildren and who were very special to him. He will be fondly remembered by generations of family and lifelong friends.
His devotion to family was unparalleled. More than anything, he treasured that everyone had the opportunity to succeed in life. May he rest in peace.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial reception will be held at a later date which is not yet known.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Wil’s honour to the Sunnybrook Foundation are appreciated.
