Morrison DonaldMORRISON, Donald Francis 'Don' - Don passed away peacefully at his home on April 16, 2021.

Born in Goderich, Ontario on August 4, 1932. Don was the sixth of seven children of Patrick and Annie Morrison.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Madge and his siblings Christine, Grace, Betty and John. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Lynn McDougall (Craig), Michelle Barnabe (Darren), and Scott Morrison (Kristin) as well as by his ten grandchildren, Kim, Blair, Erin, Grant, Megan, Dana, Jesse, Katie, Emily and Evan and his siblings, James Morrison (Kay) and Pat McLaughlin (Bruce).

Don graduated from Bloor Collegiate, St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall. After beginning his law career in private practice, Don worked as counsel in the Ministry of Transportation and subsequently Correctional Services before being appointed as a provincial court judge.

Don applied the law with kindness and in the hopes of helping others towards a better future. Despite serving as a Family Court judge for more than a decade, Don was always understated. He never admitted much more than having worked in “the courts."

Don had a never-ending thirst for knowledge. He was an avid reader, who combined a passionate interest in politics and current events with a deep appreciation for all things sports. He was the consummate storyteller who could captivate an audience as he regaled them with book and movie reviews as well as his many adventures, both recent and long past. Don loved to travel and had many memorable trips with Madge and his children. He will be fondly remembered for his interest in and compassion for others and his unwavering love for family.

Given current restrictions, Don’s funeral will be live-streamed on Rosar-Morrison funeral home’s website on April 26th at 10am. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

If desired, donations in Don’s memory may be made to his favourite charities, the Good Shepherd Refuge or Doctors without Borders.
