Kaduuli StephenKADUULI, Stephen CharlesOn Thursday April 15, 2021, Stephen Charles Kaduuli, loving husband and father of four, passed away at Humber River Hospital, at the age of 60.

He was husband to Susan Kaduuli and they shared together 28 years of marriage.

Stephen was born in Mbale, Uganda on October 7, 1960 to the Late Yekosofati Godfrey Badhaga and Thesera Naume Kanayiwa. He received his BA (Hons) in Social Work degree from Makerere University in 1983. He then went on to complete his Masters degree in demography, at the Australian National University. He also obtained a Paralegal Diploma from Herzing College. He also received training in forced migration and refugee issues at the Refugee Studies Center – University of Oxford and Center for Refugee Studies – York University.

On Dec 19, 1992, Stephen married Susan Kaduuli. They raised three daughters, Sandra, Stella and Samantha and one son, Stephen Jr.

At the time of his death, Stephen was employed at Citizens for Public Justice where he worked as a refugee rights advocate, researcher and policy analyst. He was also a Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

Stephen enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, reading, playing Scrabble, which he was really good at, and catching up with friends.

Stephen is survived by his wife Susan, his four children, Sandra, Stella, Samantha and Stephen Jr.

Arrangements are entrusted with Scott funeral home, West Toronto chapel. Due to COVID19 pandemic restrictions, the funeral services will be private and by invitation only. A funeral service in Canada, will be held on May 1st at 12.00 noon EST., via Zoom. Details of the Zoom call will be shared in due course via the funeral home website.

The tentative date for the repatriation of Stephen’s remains to Uganda is May 20, 2021.
