HERRLER, Betty - Betty passed away suddenly and peacefully, on April 20, 2021, at Granite Landing residence in Cambridge, ON.
She was 99 and very proud of her ability to live independently for her entire life.
She was born in Chatham and grew up on the family farm at Mitchell's Bay, near Chatham.
Betty was predeceased by her parents, Hilliard (Hilly) and Lorene Allen, and her husband, Norm Herrler.
She will be missed by her children, Allen, Anne, Garry, David and Brian, as well as their spouses and partners.
She also leaves her brother, Dr. Hugh Allen, plus 6 grandchildren, Derek, Heather, Andrea, Alison, Daniel and Justin, as well as great-grandchildren, Olivia, Julia, Jessica, Cole and Ben.
Betty was an avid Blue Jays fan and seldom missed a game despite failing eyesight. Her favourite pastime was playing bridge.
It was common for her to play several times a week.
She will be missed at the card table.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held on Saturday, May 1st, in Breslau.
