Gibb RichardGIBB, Richard Barrie  - Richard passed away peacefully at Sunset Manor in Collingwood on May 4, 2021.

He is survived by Jalna (nee Tissington), his loving wife of 41 years; and his two sons, Mark (Jodi) and Stephen (Candice), and granddaughter Brooke.

He will also be missed by his brothers, Brian and Tony (Connie), and his numerous nieces and nephews.

Rick was born in Truro, Nova Scotia in 1942.

He earned a Masters Degree at Western University in London, ON and became the History Department Head in Aurora.

Rick chose to make a hobby farm near Feversham, ON his home.

A special thanks to our fellow teachers at Dr. G.W. Williams Secondary School and to the 10th Line gang (Feversham), who often joined us for activities - including happy hour - at the farm, the Haliburton cottage, and our Collingwood home. Rick was admired for his generosity, his leadership and his sense of humour.

His hat in the above photo is not a baseball cap; it's a Tea Cozy!!!

Sincere thanks to the staff at Sunset Manor for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place.

A memorial donation may be made in his name to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.
