Siller LudwigSILLER, Ludwig   - January 5, 1925 - May 4, 2021

Our Hero, Dad, Opa, and Patriarch

Loving husband to Rosina of 70 years, his 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

His 96 year journey started in Obresh, Yugoslavia where he met his future bride Rosina.

They were married in Traun, Austria in 1951 and started their life and family together in the Austrian village of Eisenerz.

Ultimately they decided to immigrate to Toronto in 1953.

"Lu," as many called him, was the hardest working man we knew.

A man whose work ethic was only outmatched by the size of his heart, and an ability to share love with all that he met. Lu surveyed the world with a curious eye and molded it with talented hands.

Professionally he was a brilliant carpenter, but in reality he was a building encyclopedia come to life, a true Jack of all trades.

He always helped us when in need, taught us and loved us! Lu will be remembered for a laugh that would fill a room with warmth, an ever present sense of humour and inimitable kind nature.

He was also an avid fan of nature shows and wrestling, as well as reading about world history and geography.

Ludwig touched countless lives and he will be truly missed by his family and many others that he met over his amazing journey.

A celebration of life is TBA when Covid restrictions are suitable. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Down Syndrome Association of Toronto, https://dsat.ca/.
