BEETON, Lillian Edna - Peacefully at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, on May 18, 2021 in her 79th year.

Predeceased by her parents Edna and Laurence Beeton.

Loving and devoted sister of Joan Mathieson, and Fred Beeton (Allyson McBryde, and the late Elizabeth White).

Treasured and deeply missed by niece Carolyn Beeton (Roger Maitland, and Kevin and Jennifer), and nephew Andrew Beeton (Isako Shigekawa).

Fondly remembered by all the Hogarth and Beeton cousins, her lifelong friends from long involvement in the Girl Guides, her many teaching colleagues at the Toronto Board of Education, as well as members of her church.

Lillian was a very dedicated, patient, kind, and caring elementary schoolteacher at numerous central Toronto schools, retiring from Essex Public School in 1997.

As a child, Lillian spent happy summers with family at Lake Couchiching, and later on she enjoyed cottage life at Pigeon and Paudash Lakes.

In retirement, Lillian looked forward to more travel and winter getaways to sunnier locales.

Special thanks to the many excellent staff at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, for exemplary and compassionate care in recent years, and particularly during the current pandemic.

A private family funeral is being arranged.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice in Lillian’s memory would be most appreciated by the family.
