Guidolin UmbertoGUIDOLIN, Umberto - IL NOSTRO CARO PAPA UMBERTO ~ Forever In Our Hearts....

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved father Umberto Guidolin. At the age of 83, he peacefully left our world on Friday, May 21, 2021.

He was the beloved husband to his wife Caterina. He was the proud father of Nancy (Domenic) and Sheila (Enzo). He was the wonderful grandfather of Alexa, Emilio, Julian and Erika.

Umberto was predeceased by his brothers Marcello, Francesco and his sisters Nella and Maria. He will be dearly missed by his brother Antonio and all his nephews and nieces.

Umberto adored his family and continuously showered them with unconditional love and support throughout his life. He was born on February 27, 1938 in Valle San Floriano, Vicenza, Italy. In 1958, he excitedly ventured over seas by boat to begin a new life. In 1966, he returned to Italy to marry the love of his life, Caterina. They both travelled back to Canada together to reunite with her extended family.

Umberto was an individual that held strong values and beliefs, he was extremely outspoken and never hesitated to offer his opinion in any conversation. Umberto lived his life to the fullest. He sought out every opportunity to socialize with his friends at the community center. He thoroughly enjoyed playing cards and being a part of all of the bocce games. One of his favourite hobbies was watching his favourite soccer team Juventus. He was a very passionate fan who loved to share his excitement with everyone.

Umberto worked hard to provide for his family and always found the time to grow his beautiful garden in the backyard. He embraced each and every one of his family members with open arms and a beautiful smile. He always took the time to ensure every single family member was taken care of, especially his beloved grandchildren.

Umberto was our Patriarch, our rock and the glue that held our family together. He was a father first, but more importantly an amazing person who has touched our lives deeply and will be immeasurably missed.

REST IN ETERNAL PEACE PAPA

Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the funeral service entombment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted with Ward funeral homes.

The family has requested the option of either flowers, or donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
