GALUS, John Galus - June 30, 1938 – May 27, 2021
It is with deep sadness that the family of John Galus announces his sudden passing on May 27, 2021, at his home in Toronto, Ontario.
Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Baran) for 54 years.
Loving father of Anna (Tony Ciciretto), Barbara (Peter Glowacki) and Dianne (Malcolm Saravanamuttoo).
Proud and much loved Dziadzio of Nicole, Victoria, Mathew (Kelsie Edwards), Stefanie (Michal Ulman), Lucas (Celine Augustyn), Kendall and Callum.
Great-grandfather of Nicholas and many grand-dogs! John lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all his extended family and friends.
John is an excellent example of an immigrant who came to Canada in 1958 with little but hope, a strong work ethic and determination to provide a better future for his family.
John had a successful career with the Toronto Transit Commission for 35 years, ran his own business – JR Renovations, and built his own (and many friends) cottages in Barry's Bay, where he enjoyed spending time.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private Funeral Mass will be held.
